The holidays and breaks are such a perfect time to relax and recollect thoughts and for me and most others the perfect time to rack up some pounds. All those extra weight gain through out the holiday is now coming to bite back, summer's here, and it's honestly a bit late to attempt weight loss for pool time fun, but I'll surely try.
In the past, I've struggled to get to my "ideal" weight which it 120. I've decided to let it be. According to science/medicine or whoever decides what your ideal weight is, my ideal weight is 120 pound because of my height of 5'4. This is how you figure it out starting at 5'. 5' would equal 100 lbs, for ever 1inch in addition to that 5' you add 5lbs. So for me, I'm 5'4 so 100 + (5*4) which would equal 120. Usually, I weigh 10 pounds over my ideal weight sometimes less sometimes more, but I've never weighted over 150, 150 for my height would be considered over weight. My current weight is 145, 15 pounds over my healthy weight and 25 over my ideal weight. Now the purpose of the post is to inform readers how I plan on losing weight. The goal is to get down to 125, this is what has worked for me in the past, it's not the healthiest way to lose weight and not the easiest either but it works for me and might work for you as well.
Step 1. Increase water intake
Drink a gallon of water a day, to keep hunger and the amount of food consumed low. I find it best to use a small water bottle that measures about 16oz and just fill it up eight Times, think of it as the 8 cups of water required in a day.
Step 2. Detox
The first week of this journey is all about detoxing. Everything ingested has to be natural and organic. The first week is the hardest because you are not allowed to eat anything other than fruits and vegetables. If you choose to eat salad, the only dressing allowed on it is vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is great for detoxing. All vegetables are to be steamed not fried with no added salt. For liquids, continue with the gallon of water a day and add your choice of detox tea, Chinese slim tea is high or yogi detox tea. With the Chinese slim tea be warned, it causes diarrhea.
Step 3. Eat healthy and smart
Step two is so essential for this diet to work if completed right the participant should have less craving for food and would require less amount of food to feel full. From now on avoid junk food, all meals ingested should be prepared by the participant (too lazy to cook, too lazy to eat).
Break down of meals:
Breakfast: allowed choices
1. Oatmeal
2. Greek yogurt
3. Egg whites
4. Berry mix
5. WATER
Lunch: Some allowed choices
1. Salad with vinegar and a small amount of dressing (of choice)
2. Vegetable with a side of meat, fish or any other choice of protein.
3. Lunch should be the heaviest meal you eat, be smart and keep it clean and healthy
Dinner:
For dinner, it's better to consume salads and vegetables. Eat light and clean for dinner.
On this diet I consume a lot of salads, most of my caloric intake occurs during lunch hour since I would have time to burn it off.Since my dinner is very light, I always eat breakfast and always have almonds and apples to snack on as the day goes by ( a hand full of almonds and one whole apple sliced up to make my snack for a day)
This diet is a way to trick the body, you eat less, speed up your metabolism and lose weight.
P.S. Because the weight is going to be coming off in short amount of time exercise must be accompanied with this diet, or you'll end up with extra skin. So while dieting, tone up.
